Costs for Community Gardens for the Season
Plots are rented on a geared-to-income basis. The rental fee ranges from approximately $15 to $42 for a plot of approximately 200 to 400 square feet. Plots may vary slightly in size depending on the location. Gardeners are responsible for opening their garden plots up in the spring and putting their plots “to bed” in the fall.
Standing height raised beds are available upon request. Wheelchair-accessible plots are listed by garden and are available through our registration. Please contact us for more information.
Community gardens are a great asset to our city! They provide residents with many opportunities including access to healthy and low-cost food, healthy physical activity, skills enhancement, the development of meaningful relationships, and building of cross-cultural partnerships.
