This seminar focuses on healthy and therapeutic enjoyment of gardening.

The main components of the day are:

Healthy Gardening Practices

The focus of the seminar is on learning to create or modify gardens for general wellness. Learn some tips to stay healthy and enjoy the benefits of gardening.

Planning for and Managing Impairments or Disabilities

Reduced mobility? Arthritic hands?  Impaired eyesight or hearing? With a diverse range of abilities and an aging population, learn some key ways that gardens can be adapted for unique challenges and needs.

Designing Gardens and Guiding Others

For those who are designers or giving advice such as Master Gardeners, it is important to be able to guide people with a wide variety of abilities to the best possible enjoyment of gardens. Add more design and adaptation tips to your knowledge base to share with others.

This workshop has something for every gardener – We will experience some of the challenges first-hand and learn about modifying gardens, strategies, and programs to ensure everyone can continue a healthy and enjoyable gardening experience.
